The BMW iX is the first model based on a new, modular, scalable architecture on which the future of the BMW Group will be built. The iX is an all-electric, battery-powered, four-door, five-passenger mid-size utility vehicle with a large opening rear hatch. For 2022 the xDrive50 model was introduced and for 2023 the iX M60 has been added.
Both feature a two-motor system and all-wheel drive. Depending on model and equipment driving range is from 274 to 324 miles.
